If you live in Richmond Hill, we're closer than you might think. Our physician-led cosmetic and laser clinic is at 30 Gibson Drive in Markham, just north of Steeles Avenue at Warden, usually 10 to 20 minutes down Hwy 404.
What sets us apart from many med spas is who looks after you. Since 2017, every new client has started with Dr. Dan Xu. She listens to what you'd like to change, examines your face and skin, and explains the options, risks and costs in plain language. If you choose Botox® or fillers, she does the injections herself.
You'll find Botox® and jaw slimming, chin fillers and lip fillers, laser hair removal and PicoSure Pro® laser for pigmentation here, along with HydraFacial®, RF microneedling, skin tightening and Emsculpt NEO® body contouring. With every option under one roof, your plan is built around your face, not around one machine.

Before anything is booked, Dr. Dan Xu examines you herself. She also performs every Botox® and filler injection personally, drawing on more than 80,000 injection procedures, so the person who plans your treatment is the person who carries it out.
Many Richmond Hill clients come to us about a square jaw, a soft chin or a flat side profile. Dr. Xu has a particular focus on Asian facial anatomy and plans Botox® and filler around the proportions of each face, so the result looks like a refined version of you, not a template.
Other physicians learn injection technique from Dr. Xu: she is a North American Faculty Trainer for Juvéderm® with Allergan and a Clinical Preceptor for McMaster University medical students. She also wrote Timeless Asian Beauty, on planning treatment for Asian faces.

From Hwy 404, exit at Steeles Ave E, head east to Warden Ave and turn onto Gibson Dr just north of Steeles. Look for the corner building marked 30. Parking is free, and arriving ten minutes early gives you time to settle in before your appointment.
Tell Dr. Xu what you'd like to change. She'll look closely at your skin and facial structure, ask about any treatments you've had, then walk you through the options, realistic results, downtime and cost, in English, Mandarin or Cantonese.
There's no need to decide on the spot. If you'd like to go ahead and the treatment is a lighter one, such as Botox®, a HydraFacial or a first laser session, it can often be done the same day, which saves a second trip from Richmond Hill.

Getting here
From most of Richmond Hill the easiest way here is Hwy 404 south to Steeles Avenue East, then a few minutes east to Warden Avenue. That's usually a 10 to 30 minute drive, depending on where you start and the time of day.
Distances are by road from each landmark, on toll-free routes. Times are typical outside rush hour.

Yes. ID Cosmetic Clinic is on Gibson Drive in Markham, just north of Steeles Avenue East at Warden Avenue. From Hwy 7 and Leslie Street it's about 9 km, mostly on Hwy 404, which usually takes 10 to 15 minutes. We have one location, so there is no separate office in Richmond Hill.
From most of south and central Richmond Hill, about 15 to 20 minutes outside rush hour: take Hwy 404 south, exit at Steeles Avenue East, then head east to Warden Avenue. Allow 25 to 30 minutes from Oak Ridges. From Thornhill, Steeles Avenue East brings you straight here in about 15 to 20 minutes.
Dr. Dan Xu personally performs Botox® and other anti-wrinkle injections, masseter (jaw-slimming) injections, chin, jawline and lip fillers, and collagen stimulators such as Sculptra®, on first visits and follow-ups alike.
If a wide lower face comes from a strong masseter (chewing) muscle, small doses of botulinum toxin relax the muscle so it gradually becomes less bulky. The change builds over several weeks rather than overnight, and results usually last a few months, so most people return for maintenance. Dr. Xu first checks whether the width comes from muscle, bone or fat, because only muscle responds to this treatment.
Often, yes. Hyaluronic acid fillers, and in some cases hybrid fillers such as HArmonyCa™, can bring a receding chin forward and give the jaw a cleaner line. Dr. Xu plans the amount and placement around your facial proportions and explains the possible risks, such as swelling, bruising and, rarely, a blocked blood vessel, before you decide.
Yes. We use several laser hair removal devices, including a 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser, which is generally the safer choice for deeper skin tones, and a gentler low-energy option for sensitive skin. Treatments are physician-supervised and carried out by trained technicians. Most people need six to eight sessions, spaced four to eight weeks apart.
Freckles and sun spots often respond well to picosecond lasers such as PicoWay® and PicoSure Pro®, or to IPL. Melasma behaves differently and tends to return, so Dr. Xu usually combines gentle laser settings with skincare and daily sun protection, and is honest about what to expect. On Asian and darker skin, settings are matched to your skin type and often tested on a small spot first, because no laser is risk-free.
Yes. Emsculpt NEO® combines radiofrequency heat with electromagnetic muscle stimulation to reduce fat and build muscle on areas such as the abdomen, buttocks, arms and calves. A typical course is four sessions about a week apart. It isn't a weight-loss treatment, so the consultation starts with whether it suits your goals.
Yes, the first consultation is free and takes about 30 minutes. Lighter treatments can often be done straight afterwards, so one trip is often enough. Treatments that need more planning, like collagen stimulators or fixing filler from another clinic, get their own appointment.
We're open Monday to Sunday, 10 AM to 6 PM, by appointment, and consultations with Dr. Xu run Monday to Saturday. Weekend times fill quickly, so it's worth booking ahead. Our team speaks English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
Look for a physician registered with the CPSO, which you can confirm on the College's public register, and ask who will actually treat you. A clinic with several kinds of devices and injectables can match the treatment to you instead of fitting you to one machine.
