Emface Emface is an electromagnetic muscle stimulation device — insufficient energy produces no effect, while excessive energy causes a temporary pulling sensation in the face or discomfort at the electrode sites. HIFES intensity must be individually calibrated by a physician based on your FTA score, skin thickness, muscle tone, and tolerance. This is a clinical judgment that no software preset can replace.
Dr. Xu has been using Emface® clinically since its early launch in Canada. The systematic protocols she developed for male patients, breastfeeding patients, and injection-averse clients have become a reference point for peers. Emface® Treatment Pricing
For Emface® treatments offered at different clinics, the price difference typically does not come from the device itself (the same BTL-manufactured unit), but rather fromWho is assessing, who is making clinical judgments, and who is adjusting the parameters。Emface may appear to be”Applicators placed, sit for 20 minutes”a straightforward procedure on the surface, individualized HIFES intensity calibration, precise electrode placement, Facial Tension Assessment (FTA) scoring to determine the number of sessions, and metal implant screening all require genuine medical judgment — not simply pressing a preset button. A physician’s time and clinical experience are themselves medical resources. That is why all Emface® parameters at our clinic are determined by Dr. Xu based on your individual profile, then carried out by our trained clinical team.
That said, not every client requires the full cost of deep physician involvement. Mild laxity, second-or-later maintenance sessions, and straightforward cases with no complication risk can be addressed with more cost-effective options. First-time treatments, male clients requiring higher intensity, clients who are breastfeeding, and complex cases requiring combination with Ultherapy or Botox are better suited to full physician oversight from assessment through treatment planning. The final cost of Emface is determined after the consultation — once FTA tension has been assessed, the number of sessions (4 or 6) has been confirmed, and any need for combination devices has been evaluated — and is driven by clinical need,not the other way around. We provide a transparent treatment plan with item-by-item explanations, so you understand the clinical rationale behind every recommended session.

Emface® This Health Canada–licensed non-invasive device has an excellent overall safety profile — no injections, no incisions, and no systemic absorption. There are, however, a few important precautions and absolute contraindications that must be identified before treatment. Dr. Xu will go through each of them with you prior to every session.
Common reactions (may occur shortly after treatment)
- Temporary facial flushing / warmth（10-15 minutes to resolve)
- Mild muscle soreness in the face（1–2 hours post-treatment · a normal response following muscle stimulation)
- Mild indentation marks at electrode placement sites（30-60 minutes to resolve)
- Facial pulling sensation（A small number of clients notice a sensation of facial expression being”Lifting” · resolves upon completion of treatment)
- Dry mouth / transient sensation of reduced oral mobility（Extremely rare · Resolves within a few hours)
Serious risks (rare, but must be disclosed)
- Thermal injury at electrode site— Extremely rare · Caused by poor electrode contact or metal implants generating heat spots
- Seizure induction— Extremely rare · contraindicated in patients with known epilepsy
- Metal implant displacement / damage— Facial metal plates / permanent thread lifts / pacemakers are contraindications
