EMSCULP NEO: SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS
▪Therapy is strictly prohibited for persons with electronic and/or metal implants.
▪Ensure that persons with pacemakers are not present in the vicinity of the device while the device is in operation.
▪Do not apply therapy over the head, neck, thorax, over the carotid sinus nerves, spinal cord and testes.
▪Do not apply over swollen, infected, or inflamed areas or skin eruptions, e.g. phlebitis, thrombophlebitis, varicose veins, etc.
▪Do not apply over, or in proximity to, cancerous lesions.
▪The application of thermal modalities prior to therapy can alter the patient’s perception of warmth and pain.
▪Caution is advised when applying the therapy over scarred area as there is a risk of burns.
▪If there is a surgical history in the treatment area there is a possibility of decreased sensation; proceed with caution.
▪Since the effects of high frequency fields on unborn life have not yet been sufficiently researched, we recommend that pregnant persons are not within 3 feet (1m) of the applicator when the unit is active.
▪Do not deliver therapy through clothing.
▪Discontinue the treatment immediately if the patient experiences pain.
▪During applicator calibration, do not place any ferromagnetic or metallic materials in the vicinity less than 3 feet (1 m) of the applicator(s).
▪Caution should be used with patients with suspected or diagnosed epilepsy.
▪Caution should be used with patients following recent surgical procedures when muscle contraction may disrupt the healing process.
▪Do not place the device in direct sunlight or near heat sources. It might lead to an excessive temperature increase and possible risk for the patient and the device.
▪Do not place any objects that produce heat or objects containing water or other liquids on the device.
▪Always apply the applicators as shown in the operator’s manual. Do not position them upside down
▪The surface temperature sensor must always be in direct contact with the patient’s skin during the therapy.

▪Always do a visible inspection of the treated area for any scars prior to the treatment. Caution is advised when applying the therapy over scarred area as there is a risk of burns.
▪To avoid the movement of the applicators during the treatment due to excessive sweating in the treated area, ask the patient to shave or trim hairs in the treated area.
▪Always wipe the treated area with alcohol wipes before treatment to remove any moisture, perfume, moisturizers, or oils from the treated area.
